Tiger Woods heckler plane grounded by the FAA

According to the New York Daily News, the plane that has been heckling Tiger Woods with a giant banner has been grounded by the FAA.

FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said neither Team Tiger nor the Masters organizers asked them to take a look at the plane.

“It was an internal FAA decision,” she said. “The local air traffic controllers wanted to ensure that the operation was being conducted safely for the people on the ground. We did an inspection and found some mechanical issues the needed to be corrected.”

The banner ads flown yesterday read, “Tiger: Did you mean Booty-ism?” and “Sex Addict. Yeah. Right. Sure. Me Too!”

A total of six ads were scheduled to fly over the golf course during the tournament, according to the advertisement company that was paid to fly the banner ads, although the identity of their customer remains a closely guarded secret.
