Two feel good basketball stories continue to today as both UMBC and Loyola are playing in their conference semi final games.
At noon on MASN it will be UMBC facing their toughest challenge to date Vermont. It is a tough challenge for the Greyhounds as they seek to claim an NCAA Tournament bid.
Loyola takes on Siena at 6pm also on MASN. Like UMBC the only way Loyola gets into the Big Dance is by winning the MAAC title.
AmericanUniversity is just two games away from am NCAA bid. Today at 2pm they host Army in the semi finals. The game can be heard on WWRC-AM 1260 or you can see the game on the team’s website. The AU story is also a great one as they are the Patriot League favorites. The Eagles also have that win over Maryland to add to their resume.
George Mason is still in the CAA mix and they will play UNC-Wilmington on CN8 at 5:30pm. The Patriots are looking for some of the magic that took them to the Final Four just a few short years ago.
Maryland is still at least one win away from a trip to the NCAA Tournament and they face the tough task of playing on the road against their border war rival Virginia. The game is a nationally telecast game on CSN at 7:30pm but there will be plenty of pre game action on CSN before and post game after.
The Caps roll to the playoffs continues today on NBC at 12:30p.m. Washington and Pittsburgh are today’s national NHL Game of the Week.
MASCAR is in Atlanta and today it will be cold but this one of the fastest tracks on the circuit. Today’s race is on FOX at 1:30pm.
This thus far has been a great NASCAR season and today should be worth the time today. Atlanta is a great track and brings out the best in the drivers.
