OK it is warm and there is plenty to watch today and this evening on the sports side of things…
I will give what is worth watching and what you can really miss today. It is what I do for those out there as my public service.
Let me set things up for those of you who like your sports early.
Versus has the Tour de France this weekend at 7:30am and then again in primetime at 8:30pm. It is well worth the time. A great family event.
Golf Channel has the Scottish Open at 8:30am again today and Sunday. Trust me if you are a golf fan this will be as good as it gets.
Also the LPGA might be worth a look with the Jamie Farr Classic in Toledo …humm lets get some of those Paco’s hotdogs? Yumm… 2pm on ESPN2
Gol TV has a great soccer game tonight at 5pm which has Mexico and Uruagy plaing for thrid place in Copa America – well worth a look!
DC United is on tonight at 7:30 on CSN and that should be good, a nice chance to see back to back soccer.
The US under 20 team faces Austria if you get ESPNU at 2pm- Watch Freddy Adu, you can see it on ESPN 360 as well.
ABC has the Busch racing on at 3pm and that is worth a look and IRL also worth the time is ESPN2 at the same time. Sirius listners can hear the Busch race and XM listners get the IRL.
Boxing on HBO tonight at 9pm might be worth the look.
Nats are at Miami to face the Marlins at 7pm on MY20 and MASN2 and the Orioles are at the Yard on MASN taking on the White Sox….
OK here is what to stay away from….
Baseball has the Cubs and the Astros on FOX at 3:30 and in Baltimore you can see the Cards and the Phils. I am telling you read a book by the pool or listen to music these games are not worth your time!!!
The Arena Football League is in its Championship Playoff mode!!!! Games at 1pm and 4pm on ESPN and please tell me that you don’t care!!
The NBA summer league has a full day of action on NBA-TV.. OK the WIZ game at 8pm (repeated at 11pm on CSN) might be worth a look.
