A lack of teams will not prevent Maryland private school softball teams from competing in today?s tournament.
The Private School State Tournament will follow a round-robin format, and the team with the best record wins, according to St. Vincent Pallotti (Prince George?s County) head coach Paul O?Brien.
The tourney will begin Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Prince George?s Community College in Largo, with St. Vincent Pallotti battling Seton (Prince George?s County).
St. Mary?s Ryken (St. Mary?s County) will await the loser of that contest, for a game set for 5:30 p.m.
The action picks up Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., with St. Mary?s Ryken taking on the winner of the first game.
