Supervisor David Campos requested a hearing Tuesday on the San Francisco Unified School District’s persistently lowest-performing schools in San Francisco and the student achievement grant.
While the Board of Supervisors has no direct say on school operations it’s the district’s budget, it does allocate millions of dollars annually to the district, which seemingly would offer some leverage.
