Navy women improve to 10-0

It took a big second half but the Navy women?s soccer team defeated Siena, 4-0, Sunday afternoon.

The Mids (10-0) got second-half goals from Julie Reynolds and Kari Weniger and two from Meggie Curran, who also had an assist. Goalkeeper Lizzi Barnes made four saves in the shutout. The Mids host Mount St. Mary?s tonight at 7.

The men (4-4-1) defeated Mount St. Mary?s, 2-1, Wednesday and will visit Holy Cross Saturday at 7.

MARYLAND: The No. 6 Terrapin men (8-1) defeated No. 7 Wake Forest, 2-1, on a pair of goals in the final 13 minutes of play. Freshman Jeremy Hall and sophomore Graham Zusi completed the comeback, and Zusi was named Atlantic Coast Conference co-player of the week for his efforts in Saturday?s victory and a 2-0 win over Penn State on Wednesday.

The Lady Terps (4-4-1) opened the ACC season with a 1-0 loss to Clemson on Sept. 21.

TOWSON: Sophomore Mosca Cisneros scored two goals to lead the Tiger men (5-1-2) to a 3-2 win over Northeastern Sunday. Towson junior Pat Healy started the scoring witha goal in the game?s opening minute. The women (4-4-1) dropped a 2-0 contest to Northeastern Sunday.

UMBC: The Retriever men (3-5-2) played a man down and were unable to hold off a late Boston University charge in a 1-1 tie Saturday. The women (3-6-1) dropped their America East Conference opener to New Hampshire, 1-0.

LOYOLA: The Greyhound men (1-6-1) visit Maryland tonight at 7:30 after beating Richmond, 2-0, Saturday. The women (1-4-2) visit Princeton Wednesday after a 1-0 loss to Rutgers Sept. 19.

DIVISION III

GOUCHER: The men (5-4) lost to Mary Washington, 2-0, on a pair of late goals Saturday. The women (1-5) fell to Marymount, 3-0, Sunday.

JOHNS HOPKINS: The No. 23 Johns Hopkins men (9-1) used a Akash Nai goal in the 10th minute to defeat McDaniel, 1-0, Saturday. The Blue Jay women (6-1) defeated Muhlenberg Saturday, 3-1.

McDANIEL: The Green Terror women (2-5) beat previously undefeated Bryn Mawr, 1-0, Saturday on a goal from Jamie Janowich. The men (3-4) fell to Hopkins, 1-0 Saturday.

NOTRE DAME: The Gators (2-3-1) were shut out by Salisbury on Saturday, 5-0.

VILLA JULIE: The Mustang women (4-3) defeated McDaniel Thursday, 1-0, behind a Laura Robinson (Westminster High) goal. The men?s Saturday game at Keystone was postponed.
