I‘m actually talking about the refreshing breeze finally circulating through the RFK press box — it’s blowing some papers around, but I don’t mind — but the game was a sweaty one, as well.

The mood was sour in the D.C. United locker room. The crowd loved the 3-3 draw, but the players? Not so much.
Jaime Moreno, on his penalty: “[Toronto goalkeeper Stefan Frei] did a good job waiting for me, and in the last minute I was lucky too – actually, it was on my mind to hit it a little hard and with pace and a little high. It went where I picked the spot, and I was lucky to convert.”
Chris Pontius, on his short-lived game-tying goal [In contrast to the multiple missed chances against New England]: “I’m just trying to keep my shots on frame now, and Jaime did a great dummy to clear it out for me, and I don’t think the goalie could see so my shot, I was just trying to put it on frame and get a little power to keep it right underneath the crossbar.”
Pontius, on going grill-to-grill with Dwayne De Rosario after Pontius got spun around in a 50-50 collision just before the final whistle: “It was just a hard play, and I didn’t like him standing over me like that so I let him know that.”
DCU goalkeeper Milos Kocic, on his overall game. [Prior to the first TFC goal, I had noted multiple times that Kocic had caught the ball instead of punching it, as he had done against Dallas last weekend]: “I had a good game until then. I don’t know. It’s just a bad goal, and you can’t do anything about it. I just gotta keep my head up and keep working hard, and whenever I get the next chance to play, just step up and do my best again. One bad goal is not going to change my career no matter what.”
Devon McTavish, who made his first start and second appearance since the first game of the season — in which he collided head-to-head with Greg Janicki, took responsibility for Toronto’s second goal: “I don’t think anyone’s really satisfied with the way we performed tonight. It was nice to be back out there, but there’s a lot of stuff I could’ve done better to help the team. That’s usually the way it is. The [Adrian] Serioux goal was my fault. He got away from me, and out jumped me so obviously you want to try and fix that.”
In McTavish’s defense, his left-footed cross essentially set up the first goal of the night.
By the way, Toronto midfielder Carl Robinson missed the match with food poisoning.
*DCU reserves John DiRaimondo and Anthony Peters went to Bermuda – AGAIN – both starting in a 1-0 loss for Richmond to the Hogges.
