Georgetown on a winning roll

The Hoyas have won two straight since a jarring, 14-9 loss to Syracuse at home two weeks ago.

“For the last three years, Maryland’s beat us the first game of the year, and then we’ve gone on a big winning streak — you have your backs against the wall, that’s when you tend to play your best,” said Georgetown senior defender Jerry Lambe. ” I think [the Syracuse game] really woke us up. I think everybody’s getting focused, and we know what we have to do.”

Once again lacrosse plays second fiddle to the men’s basketball team, but the Hoyas almost prefer it that way.

“The fans that are here on Saturday,” said junior midfielder Dan D’Agnes, “will be more into it if the team wins on Friday.”
