Maryland senior linebacker Rick Costa has been suspended indefinitely after he was arrested on assault charges early Saturday morning stemming from an altercation at the Cornerstone Grill and Loft in College Park.
Guidelines of the Maryland Student-Athlete Code of Conduct prevented Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen and the department’s staff from providing details. Costa, a native of Moorestown, N.J., has three sacks and 22 tackles — seven for loss — this season.
