Know your crab dribble rules

No longer will fans, players and media members need to thumb through endless pages in a book to find a specific NBA rule or require a law degree to decipher its intended meaning.

With the advent of the Video Rulebook on NBA.com, any interested party can examine video evidence of what constitutes a particular infraction and read its description with just a couple of clicks.

The league uses a particularly interesting clip — taken from a Wizards home game — to demonstrate traveling at the end of a dribble. The offensive player in question just happens to be Cleveland’s LeBron James, who takes a mighty three steps in transition before finger-rolling a layup over Washington guard DeShawn Stevenson, who rightfully, as it appears, signals with his hands that James walked.

Surely that video plays just as well on a computer as it would on the high-definition screen at Verizon Center … on Nov. 18 … when the Cavaliers are in town … right?
