Parkville right-hander Kevin Jacob went nine innings, yielded five hits and struck out 13 as the Parkville baseball team blanked Catonsville 1-0 on Monday.
With the win, the Knights improved to 11-3, as the Comets fell to 9-4.
Catonsville?s Neal Davis, who is headed to Virginia on a baseball scholarship, pitched a complete game, striking out 13 and had the only extra-base hit, a double in the eighth inning.
In other baseball action, C. Milton Wright infielder Jamie Stetka led the Mustangs to an impressive 4-3 win over Rising Sun on Monday.
Trailing 3-2 in the sixth inning, Stetka hit a two-run homer to right center to give his team the go-ahead lead and the win. It was his first high school home run. The senior went 2-for-3 with three RBIs in the game.
Stetka is the nephew of Bill Stetka, the Baltimore Orioles? director of media relations.
