And, this evening, Prendergast joins another Hollywood celebrity — Academy Award-nominated actor Ryan Gosling (“Fracture,” “Half Nelson,” “Remember the Titans”) – for a panel discussion at the Center for American Progress on the conflict in northern Uganda. The event is also co-sponsored by Resolve Uganda, Enough, Campus Progress and The Invisible Children.
But if you’re looking for an actor visiting town to discuss less weighty issues, John Lithgow (“3rd Rock From The Sun,” “Footloose”) will swing by Olsson’s Books in Crystal City Tuesday morning to read from his children’s picture books, including “Mahalia Mouse Goes to College.”
