Luring Lurie

Bari Lurie, former chief of staff to the campaign manager in Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, made a big career change last month, when she was lured away by the Washington Nationals to become the director of ballpark enterprises.

In that role, she was booking events for stadium facilities on non-game days, such as private receptions, corporate meetings, trade shows, tours and concerts.

But the marriage evidently was not built to last: Sources tell us that Lurie recently left the Nationals to return to Clinton’s campaign. A Nationals spokeswoman confirmed that Lurie has left. The Clinton campaign did not respond to requests for comment.
