D.C. United will play seven of its first 11 games of the 2010 MLS regular season at home and won’t have any matches while games are being played at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa as part of the schedule unveiled on Wednesday.
United will play in San Jose at 10:30 ET on July 3, but the two World Cup quarterfinals on that date will take place earlier in the day.
D.C. will be featured on ESPN2 four times, including both of its regular-season matches against Seattle away on June 10 – the day before the World Cup starts – and home on July 15.
