In Week 1, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick showed a flash of his old self in the loss to the Packers, throwing for 175 yards and rushing for 103. After a solid Week 2, he’s earned the starting job over Kevin Kolb. We look back at Vick’s best 100-100 games over his career (which have all been wins except for the Packers game):
5. Oct. 1, 2006: Atlanta 32, Arizona 10 » While he didn’t score in this game, he was one of two 100-yard rushers for the Falcons (101) and was 13-for-22 for 153 yards in the air with one interception.
4. Sept. 19, 2004: Atlanta 34, St. Louis 17 » He was the game’s top rusher — outrushing the Rams 109-30 on just 12 carries — but his lone touchdown came in the air, where he threw for 179 yards.
3. Dec. 1, 2002: Atlanta 30, Minnesota 24 » Vick lost the air battle to Daunte Culpepper (266 yards vs. 173), but he nearly outran the rest of the ball carriers on both teams with 173 of the game’s 366 combined rushing yards. His three touchdowns (two rushing, one passing) also almost single-handedly downed the Vikings.
2. Dec. 7, 2003: Atlanta 20, Carolina 14 (OT) » The Falcons won on a Jake Delhomme interception in overtime, but Vick again showed he’s a one-man wrecking crew. He threw for a game-high 179 yards and outrushed the Panthers by himself (141-90). His 1-yard TD run in the fourth sent the game into OT.
1. Oct. 31, 2004: Atlanta 41, Denver 28 » Mike Shanahan is probably still waking up in the middle of the night after this one. Vick earned his third-highest quarterback rating (136.1), throwing for 252 yards and two touchdowns and no interceptions. He outrushed the Broncos 116-68.
