Johnny Miller — as usual — has some relationship advice for Tiger Woods. No, not that relationship; the one with his swing coach.
Miller, the NBC analyst, says Woods should ditch swing coach Hank Haney, who has worked with the golf superstar since 2004.
“No disrespect to Hank but it’s just not working,” he told FOX Sports. “This might be a little harsh, but I really believe [Woods] needs to, every night, watch the U.S. Open in the year 2000 in Pebble and just copy that swing and forget the Haney stuff.
“That was the best golf anybody has every played in history. … He needs a new, fresh teacher and just go back to what got him there. If he was here right now, I’d tell him to his face.”
Earlier this week, Woods, playing in the Players Championship, denied a rumor that he was splitting with Haney, who defended his record with Woods.
Of course, Woods might not be playing well these days for other reasons. Can anyone think of any?
