QUARTERBACK
»  Maryland: There’s nothing flashy about Chris Turner. The junior threw for 2,318 yards on 201-of-347 passing, with 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He averages 193.2 yards per game.

»  Nevada: At 6-foot-6, 215 pounds, Colin Kaepernick looks like a video game superstar — both in stature and on the stat sheet. The sophomore passed for 2,479 yards and 19 touchdowns and rushed for 1,115 yards and 16 scores.

»  Advantage: Nevada

RUNNING BACK
»  Maryland: Sophomore Da’Rel Scott has rushed for 959 yards and six touchdowns. He’s complemented by freshman Davin Meggett in an offense that averages 149.4 yards on the ground.

»  Nevada: Vai Taua has rushed for 1,420 yards on 230 carries — an average of 6.2 yards per attempt — to go along with 14 touchdowns. He’s a major bullet in the team’s “Pistol” offense that averages 291.4 rushing yards per game.

»  Advantage: Nevada

RECEIVERS
»  Maryland: Darrius Heyward-Bey (38 catches, 561 yards, 5 TDs) leads a unit that has 10 receivers who have caught at least 10 passes, including five with at least 20 receptions. Senior Danny Oquendo (371 yards, 2 TDs) is a clutch target on third downs.

»  Nevada: Senior Marko Mitchell had 1,011 yards and nine scores on 56 catches, an average of 18 yards per reception. The rest of the team’s receivers have combined for 1,519 yards.

»  Advantage: Maryland

OFFENSIVE LINE
»  Maryland: Led by senior center Edwin Williams, the Terrapins’ unit averages 313 pounds. But the unit, which has been hindered by injuries and inconsistent play, has allowed 26 sacks –more than two per game.

»  Nevada: The big men lead the nation’s second-best rushing offense and the fifth-best attack overall. Kaepernick to be sacked just 16 times this season.

»  Advantage: Nevada
