Stone is a key contributor on a team that is 8-4 and ranked No. 18 in the nation, according to the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association Top 25 poll. A two-time All-Examiner selection and the Northern Region player of the year as a senior at Annandale, Stone has started all 12 games for the Dukes. She has 18 goals, fourth-most on the team, and an assist. The sophomore midfielder is also tied with a team-high 19 draw controls and has recorded 22 ground balls. James Madison suffered a 12-6 home loss on Saturday to Colonial Athletic Association rival William & Mary, which is ranked No. 17. The Dukes are now 3-1 in the CAA.
