Defensive end Mackall latest to be grounded
Maryland defensive end David Mackall has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules the school announced on Wednesday night. The sophomore started the Terps’ first seven game before being replaced in the starting lineup by sophomore Marcus Whitfield (6-3, 230) in Saturday’s loss to Boston College.
Mackall (6-3, 240) had 30 tackles and three sacks this year. Among those who have been suspended by coach Randy Edsall this fall include running back D.J. Adams and wideouts Quintin McCree and Ronnie Tyler.
