SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Jazz on Wednesday officially announced a trade that will send guard Devin Harris to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for forward Marvin Williams.
The Associated Press reported the trade last week. Team officials could not announce it until Wednesday.
Williams will be introduced as the newest member of the Jazz on Thursday.
The Jazz also announced they have re-signed 2012 NBA Slam Dunk champion Jeremy Evans.
The agent for disgruntled shooting guard Raja Bell, meanwhile, said the team has given him permission to shop his client.
Bell in May pronounced his career with the Jazz over, citing “irreparable” damage. He ripped coach Tyrone Corbin as “unprofessional” because of a lack of communication.
The 35-year-old Bell is scheduled to earn $3.4 million in the final year of his contract.
