Multiple sources are reporting that Tiger Woods’ marriage to Elin Nordegren is over.
In a telephone interview on “Good Morning New York,” Woods’ friend Donald Trump had this to say:
“Do you want me to be blunt about it?” Trump asked. “I think it is over and it is too bad. I think he feels very badly about it. It is very, very tough.”
There was speculation that if Woods played at the Masters, rather than work on his marriage, that it would be a deal-breaker for Nordegren. Perhaps it played out that way.
Here’s hoping Woods breaks ties with some of his other associates, who are trying desperately to re-establish his image and regain his rich endorsement deals that keep them employed. Tiger needs to win more majors and forge a new image, more in line with who he really is.
Profane and petulant worked in a country club sport for John McEnroe. Why can’t it work for Tiger Woods?
