FOX has a rare baseball – NASCAR double header today with a special 3:30PM start time.
Most of the country will get a look at the New Yankee Stadium as New York hosts Cleveland. The A team of Joe Buck, Tim McCarver and Ken Rosenthal will be on hand for the game coverage. If you have not yet seen the new ball park then by all means checkout the telecast.
Some parts of the country will get a chance to see the long time rivalry between St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs. Thom Brennaman and Mark Grace doing the game from the friendly confines of Wrigley field.
Dodgers fans in LA will get to see Manny being Manny as the Rockies will be in town. The game will feature the broadcasting talents of Dick Stockton and Eric Karros for your listening pleasure.
Then in primetime at 8PM FOX turns things over to the Hollywood Hotel crew as the present the NASCAR’s Subway 500 live from Phoenix. There is a twist and that the Grand Marshall of the race is former Giants great and NFL on FOX analyst Michael Strahan.
As for the race analyst Larry McReynolds puts his money on a driver not named Johnson: “The blind obvious choice to win this weekend is Jimmie Johnson. However, one of the guys that’s below the radar is his teammate Mark Martin. It’s a track where Mark has led many laps, had a lot of success and I think he and Jeff Gordon have more top five finishes than any other current driver.”
