For the second year, Georgetown University is bringing home some of its most musical alumni for a weekend-long concert.
The Georgetown Entertainment and Media Alliance’s GEMA ROCKS, to be held Sept. 14 and 15 at the Gonda Theatre on campus, will feature Grammy-winning songwriter Bill Danoff, whose “Afternoon Delight” enjoyed a recent renaissance thanks to Will Ferrell’s “Anchorman,” and producer Doug Dayberry, who has worked with John Mayer, Dave Matthews and Ben Folds.
The event is being produced by Teddy Zambetti, in-house composer for Sirius Satellite Radio, and hosted by VH1 veejay Alison Becker.
