Five to watch at Barclays

Steve Stricker

In five seasons of FedEx Cup competition, Stricker has shot more rounds in the 60s (46) than any player. That includes four in the 2007 Barclays when he captured the tournament at Westchester, his first of two wins in FedEx Cup events.

Tiger Woods

He is the only player who has won multiple FedEx Cups, capturing the series in 2007 and 2009. He won his first Cup despite skipping the Barclays, one of the few events Woods has never won. Woods is the only player on the PGA Tour with three wins this year.

Dustin Johnson

The defending champion won last year at Plainfield in a tournament that was shorted to three rounds by oncoming Hurricane Irene and finished by early Saturday afternoon. It was his second FedEx Cup victory after winning the 2010 BMW Championship.

Bill Haas

The defending FedEx Cup champ is rounding back into form with a tie for seventh last week at the Wyndham Championship. After winning the Northern Trust and cashing checks in his first nine events this year, Haas missed the cut in four of his next six tournaments.

Davis Love III

At No. 105 in the FedEx Cup standings, the Ryder Cup captain is on the bubble to advance to next week’s Deutsche Bank Championship, which will include the top 100 players in the standings. Love, 48, tied for 10th last week at the Wyndham.
