The man and the moment met brilliantly Wednesday night, as Abercrombie was exiting a men’s room on the first floor of the Capitol.
Across, the hall, members from the Michigan and Florida delegations were meeting about the state of their party delegates, which the Democratic Party may or may not count at its convention.
A source said that during the event, some inexperienced photographers and cameramen were clicking away at everyone in sight — including Abercrombie as he emerged from the restroom.
“You got me,” said the Hawaiian, without missing a beat. As he began walking away, he looked over his shoulder toward the bathroom door and added, “Come on out, Larry, it’s all over.”
