D.C. United’s summer exhibition match against Italian champions Juventus is finally official. It will take place at RFK Stadium on July 28 at 6 p.m.
Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster or the club box office.
Juventus’ 2011-2012 Serie A championship was its 28th title, won in superb style, going undefeated through all 38 league matches (23-0-15), the first team to do so since the Serie A went from 18 teams to 20, and the first since AC Milan accomplished the feat in 1992.
Notable expected participants this summer: Andrea Pirlo, Gianluigi Buffon, Alessandro Del Piero.
The match will be the first of three in North America for Juventus, which will also play against Paris Saint-Germain in Montreal on July 31 and Real Madrid in Las Vegas on Aug. 5.
