If you recognize the name Freddi Vernell, it’s because the Federal Aviation Administration employee won last year’s inaugural “Funniest Fed” stand-up competition. Well, Vernell’s now hit the silver screen.
She appears in a new documentary called “Clean Mic,” which deals with stereotypes in comedy and also stars Dick Gregory, Paul Mooney and Dean Edwards. The film was screened Thursday night at the Goethe Institute German Cultural Center.
