Local filmmakers and Dewey Beach denizens Greg Godbout and Tom Prather are hosting an advance screening — free, no less — of their new reality film, “Dewey Beach the Movie” this Saturday at the Arlington Cinema ’n’ Drafthouse, which Godbout also happens to own.
A part of the American Film Renaissance Festival, the film follows the 2006 summer exploits of Washingtonians Ken Natoli, Eric Myers, Lisa Tsimbidis and Lauren Kenney.

The low-budget film was shot in high-def, and the movie’s Web site promises that a forthcoming special edition DVD will include “deleted scenes, director commentary, history of Dewey Beach, photo galleries and much more!!!”
