Brandt Snedeker When he won last year, it figured to be the last go-round for the Heritage because it lacked a sponsor. But RBC and Boeing saved the event, signing on through 2016. Snedeker is having a stellar season, going 9-for-9 in making the cut and winning the Farmers Insurance Open.
Padraig Harrington
Since capturing back-to-back majors in 2008 and undergoing a curious swing change, the Irishman has failed to win in 65 PGA Tour events. He’s getting closer, however, making 11 straight cuts and contending last week at the Masters on his way to a tie for eighth.
Luke Donald
The top-ranked Donald is the only player in the top 10 in the field. Donald is ready to win at Harbour Town after losing in a playoff to Brandt Snedeker last year and tying for second in 2009 and third in 2010. He closed with a 68 at the Masters to finish tied for 32nd.
Mark Wilson
With the exception of five-time winner Davis Love III, who withdrew, the list of Heritage champions includes short-hitters such as Jim Furyk (2010), Brian Gay (2009) and Justin Leonard (2002). Wilson, who ranks 165th in driving distance, fits the mold.
John Daly
After hawking merchandise last week in the lot of an Augusta Hooters, the slimmed-down Daly made the 2 hour, 45 minute trek to Hilton Head to play in his second PGA Tour event this year. He made the cut at the Transitions and has been playing in Europe this year.
