Redskins season ends with a thud

The Redskins season ended the same way it unfolded for most of the season: with a thud. Philadelphia beat visiting Washington 34-10 in the season finale. The Eagles scored the final 21 points of the game to pull away in a tight game. It ended up as the most lopsided loss of the season for Washington, which finished 5-11. That record is the worst in coach Mike Shanahan’s career.

Running back Evan Royster rushed for 113 yards on 20 carries, giving him consecutive 100-yard days and marking the fifth time in the final six games that a Redskins back topped that mark. Eagles quarterback Michael Vick completed 24 of 39 passes for 335 yards and three touchdowns.
