Let me preface what I am about to write with the following and very important point. The Washington Redskins – Jacksonville Jags game was the highest rated show on TV in DC. OK now for the other side of this story on a Sunday when it was very cold and snow was in the air the Redskins got their lowest rating of the season a 21 rating with a 42 share. By any other measure in the TV business that would be a great number and executives would be doing back flips but this is the NFL and the Redskins are normally a sure fire 45 share or better. I fully expect that the numbers will go up this week in the final game of the season against an NFL East rival the New York Giants at 4:15pm on FOX 5.
Meanwhile in Baltimore the Ravens scored a 38.9 rating with a 63 share as they watched their team clinch a third straight playoff spot.
