The Nanny

Fran “The Nanny” Drescher

celebrates her 50th birthday Thursday night (it’s actually Sunday, but who’s counting?) with a very private, very elite group at Café Milano.

Among those expected to attend: Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa.; CNN’s Wolf Blitzer; Reps. Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I., Jesse Jackson Jr., D-Ill., Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., and Lois Capps, D-Calif.; and White House spokeswoman Dana Perino.

It caps off quite a week for Drescher. She addressed a crowd at Georgetown University and will enjoy another celebration at Teatro Goldoni tonight.

Celebrity watchers at Milano can also be on the lookout for Quincy Jones. Elsewhere in the restaurant, jazz legend Herbie Hancock, gospel singer BeBe Winans and investor Joe Robert are hosting a private dinner for the music-maker extraordinaire.

Earlier in the evening, Jones is the guest of honor at “The HistoryMakers” at George Washington University, where he’ll be interviewed by journalist Gwen Ifill.
