Australia gets win in men’s Olympic water polo

LONDON (AP) — Rhys Howden scored twice to push Australia past Kazakhstan 7-4 and give the country its first men’s water polo win at the London Olympics.

Five other players also scored Tuesday for Australia, which picked up two points with the Group A victory. Australia lost its opening game to 2011 world champion Italy 8-5.

Kazakhstan, meanwhile, remains winless and pointless after two matches at the London Games.
