» Jason Taylor did not practice Wednesday and is not expected to play Sunday, Redskins coach Jim Zorn said. Taylor did not play last week because of a calf injury that required surgery.
Taylor did run yesterday, but Zorn said he had some swelling in his ankles.

When asked if Taylor would be ruled out Sunday, Zorn said, “I wouldn’t say that. I think that but I wouldn’t say that because we just don’t know. He has to heal and he would be optimistic, but if he doesn’t practice I can’t imagine him playing this week. It may be another week, but he’s out there running and that’s more than I thought he would do this week.”
Right tackle Stephon Heyer (shoulder) and corner Shawn Springs (calf) also did not practice. Right guard Randy Thomas (turf toe) and linebacker Marcus Washington (hamstring) were limited.
» Zorn won’t forget his first game in Philadelphia. It occurred in the season finale of 1976, his rookie year with expansion Seattle. The game wasn’t memorable, but one event was.
Zorn, a quarterback, and his teammates were huddled on the field during a break in action.
“Nick Bebout, our tackle, was with us all a sudden he’s like, ‘Aaaaaahhh!’” Zorn said. “We looked down and he had been shot with a pellet gun. There was a 5-mm pellet by his leg. I’sd never seen anything like it before.”
» Kick returner Rock Cartwright caused a stir by celebrating on the star at midfield of Texas Stadium following Sunday’s win. He stood on the star and raised his arms skyward. Next thing he knew it was on YouTube.
“I didn’t even dance on the star … he said. “People know me. I wear my emotions on my sleeve. I wanted to celebrate a big victory. I didn’t want to disrespect anybody.”
