Who will design Jenna Bush’s wedding dress?
Recommended Stories
Badgley Mischka might not be a bad bet, as the New York-based team designed the gowns worn by both sisters for their father’s second inauguration in 2005.
We do know that Jenna was sent an invitation to this weekend’s Badgley Mischka Bridal trunk show at the Harriet Kassman Bridal Salon at Mazza Gallerie. Its high-end sports and evening-wear counterpart, the D.C. fashion destination Harriet Kassman, is a favorite of uber-trendy politicos (rumor has it that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is a customer, though the store will not discuss its clients).
Of course, besides Badgley, other options abound. “I could see her in a classic design from Romona Keveza,” said legendary fashionista (and store owner) Harriet Kassman. As for another Bush twin favorite? According to Kassman, Lela Rose, which both the twins have worn in the past (Barbara also interned for them in New York), “would also be a good choice.”
The first lady’s office, which handles Jenna’s press, did not return a call seeking comment.
Which is unsurprising, seeing as how Jenna has thus far remained mum about wedding plans, not even indicating where the nuptials will take place, much less what her dress will look like.
The best indication on plans we’ve gotten has been from Laura Bush, who told Fox News’ Bret Baier recently that they’re “leaning” toward holding the wedding “at home” in Texas.
