WR Vincent Jackson

He’s the most talented receiver available, but one NFL source was skeptical of the Redskins’ reported interest in Jackson — and that was before the salary cap news broke. Jackson has averaged 17.5 yards a catch in his career. The Redskins need playmakers, but he will cost at least $10 million a year.
WR Pierre Garcon
He’s another young playmaker who would fill a big need. Garcon reportedly turned down a $7 million a year offer to stay in Indianapolis. The Colts will have a rookie QB, too, but not much else. Garcon could be lured by a better team for around the same cost — or less. The Redskins also could opt for a slot guy like Eddie Royal.
CB Aaron Ross
Cortland Finnegan is the top cornerback target, but if the Redskins keep both Josh Wilson and DeAngelo Hall, it’s tough to see them signing Finnegan. But Ross is a veteran a la Phillip Buchanon. Ross has 41 starts, including all but one game this season thanks to injured teammates. He’s athletic but inconsistent.
RT Eric Winston
The Redskins need to upgrade at right tackle, where Jammal Brown has played two injury-filled seasons. Winston was cut by Houston, which uses a similar offense as the Redskins. He has started 87 games in six seasons and is considered an athletic tackle, which the Redskins need.
QB Kyle Orton
The Redskins would like a veteran to start until Robert Griffin III is ready. But would Orton want to sign here knowing Griffin would play soon? Hard to imagine. And it’s hard to imagine any veteran would come here knowing the situation — unless they have no other options.
