CBS Sports College Football Today’s Tim Brando and Spencer Tilman are not shy about when talking about the SEC. This week the network kicks off their conference schedule with South Carolina hosting #2 Georgia.

I spoke to the duo about the SEC and another possible BCS Championship.

Tilman on Ohio State: “The Buckeyes are not a National Championship team. They will be gone from the conversation as soon as maybe this week. I really think that USC will run them over at the Coliseum. So we won’t have that 51 day layoff excuse this time around.”

Brando on the depth of the SEC: “Right now the SEC is the only conference with four legitimate teams that could play for the National Championship. I think that at the end it will come down to Georgia, Florida and LSU. I really don’t think that Alabama will figure in the title picture. Georgia of the three has the toughest road schedule, Florida might have the inside track because their big games are at the Swamp. But if you are not a fan of the BCS then lookout for a scenario that has USC and Oklahoma undefeated at the end of the season with a once beaten Florida, LSU or Georgia. How do you keep the past two BCS National Champion’s or the best team in the SEC out of the title game? The answer is you can’t.”

WJZ-TV  13, WUSA-TV 9 and KPIX-TV5 will have the No. 2-ranked Georgia at No. 24-ranked South Carolina on Saturday at 3:30pm.ET Brando and Tilman will be on at 3pm ET with CBS College Football Today. After the game if you are an SEC fan switch over to CBS College Sports Network for the SEC Post Game Show. It will air from 7pm till 8pm with Greg Amsinger, Brian Jones and former Georgia quarterback. David Pollack.

CBS Sports.com will stream for free all 17 regular season games on broadband this season and a deal is in the works for a large number of basketball games to also make their way onto the web. One last thing and that is for those who might have missed it the SEC signed two 15 year deals one with CBS for the over the air broadcast rights and another with ESPN for the cable rights. The two deals make the SEC the richest conference in college sports and it allows them to achieve that goal without having build their own network like the Big Ten.

For ACC fans Brian Jones told me that Clemson, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech should do a good job of representing the conference. He also thinks that Miami is a good bet as the sleeper team in the ACC. Jones told me that they are young, fast and talented. ‘They will make an impact this season and next season the could be the favorite.

You really should watch the CBS College Sports SEC Tailgate Show as well as the scoreboard programs. Check them out the guys do a great job and give them a look.
