Cheers & Jeers Top 5 NFL Draft picks

With Washington quarterback Jake Locker choosing to return to the Huskies for his senior season — thus relinquishing his spot as the top-rated QB available in the 2010 NFL Draft — here’s who should be the top five picks if the draft were to take place this week (of course, this could change based on needs, or the whims, of Daniel Synder):

1. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska » Hands ndown, he’s the one that’s ndominating the conversation, and whoever has the top pick would be ndumb not to get him signed on the ndotted line. (We love ndoing that.)

2. Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State » The Redskins should be positioning themselves to get Okung. Instead, they’ve decided to start winning games. This can’t end well.

3. Eric Berry, S, Tennessee » The heir apparent to Ed Reed hasn’t officially declared, although he is leaning to foregoing his senior year. We can’t understand why he would hesitate.

4. Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma » If it weren’t for Suh, McCoy would be the defensive lineman everybody wants — some projected him the top pick last year. For goodness sake, declare already.

5. Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame » He benefits the most from Locker staying put. Among the teams that are likely to have the top three picks, Clausen will be irresistible as a franchise guy. His college resume is squeaky clean, too, except for the winning bowl games and national titles part.
