Banker’s Hours
The first in a new set of “Deal or No Deal” episodes premiered Tuesday night, and only hours later two of the show’s now-famous “case girls” made the circuit of D.C. clubs on Connecticut Avenue.
Claudia Jordan (case No. 1) and Aubrie Lemon (case No. 23) had a late dinner at Sesto Senso before meeting and greeting at Fly around the corner.
The last stop: Andalu, where the models were making an appearance for a taping of the local “Late Nite with Erik Haase” show, which airs on The CW Channel 50 (the same folks who brought adult film legend Ron Jeremy into town for a party last month).
“Late Nite” orchestrated a takeoff of “Deal” called “Drink or No Drink.” It was even simpler than the real game, as contestants chose between Jordan’s case and Lemon’s case. One contained a prize; the other contained, well, a drink.
Lemon told Yeas & Nays that no, they really have no idea what dollar amounts are in their cases. She also revealed that only five women out of the 26 are mic’d up during any given game on a rotating basis, so the biggest challenge is coming up with something “relevant and witty” to say if you’re one of the five.
“I wish every day I wasn’t a model, because I want to be a contestant,” said Jordan.
As for host Howie Mandel, who was in town recently to promote children’s mental health treatment, Jordan said he’s a perfect gentleman. “He doesn’t hit on us,” she joked. “I’m a little offended, actually.”
