Colts feel like they had all the Luck

There’s another love affair with another NFL rookie quarterback. And, yes, Indianapolis was just as pleased with what it saw from Andrew Luck as the Redskins were with Robert Griffin III. Let the gushing begin.

“He’s unflappable, mature beyond his years,” Colts coach Chuck Pagano told reporters during the team’s rookie minicamp this past weekend. “You listen to some of those play calls and you know why he’s an architectural engineer. He’s going to have a great career in that in about 15 years.”

Unlike Griffin, who already has graduated, Luck can’t practice again until after he graduates June 7. Ah, but missing 10 days of organized team activities won’t quiet the hype.

“He’s the same Andrew, as brilliant as ever,” Colts tight end Coby Fleener, a college teammate of Luck’s, told the Indianapolis Star. “He went out and was calling plays that were probably 30 words long off the top of his head. He’s amazing.”
