Injuries not going to cramp Heat’s style

Leg cramps. That’s all. Don’t worry everyone: LeBron James is OK.

In reality, that’s likely all it is. James has been lucky to have a relatively healthy NBA career.

A lot of talk entering the season was that the Miami Heat were going to roll with their trio of gold-medal wearing All-Stars.

But that was tempered by their — Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, at least — injury history.

That already seems to be coming true, with Wade suffering a hamstring injury and James getting those pesky leg cramps in the preseason.

Wade is not likely to play again until the season opener, and James is essentially day-to-day.

However, last season the trio missed a combined 23 games — and 12 of those were by Bosh.

In fact, after Wade missed 31 games in back-to-back seasons, he has missed only eight games in the last two.

While the 1995-96 Bulls’ 72-10 regular-season record may be safe, the Eastern Conference still has a lot to worry about.
