For the Nats, it’s one opener down another to go

After a prime time debut Sunday night at Nationals Park with President George Bush throwing out the first pitch, a full house and a world wide audience on a host of networks — ESPN, ESPN Desportes, MLB.COM and MLB International — it is now time for yet another opener for the Nationals in less than 24 hours.

The Nats will play against the Phillies in their opener today as the TV action gets underway at 2 p.m. on MASN2 with Johnny Holiday and Ray Knight doing Nats Xtra pregame show followed by the game at 3 p.m.

The best local broadcast team in baseball with Bob Carpenter, Don Sutton and in game reporter Debbi Taylor are back for another full season of games broadcast on MASN, MASN2 and My20.

The 40 Nats games that will be on MASN-HD can be seen on Comcast channel 226.

Meanwhile, the Nats radio team of Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler will once again handle the broadcasting chores. Slowes and Jageler are quickly becoming one of the top radio teams in baseball and with the strong signal of 3WT radio 107.7 FM/1500 AM they can be heard throughout the entire mid-Atlantic region.
