It has been a rough couple of weeks for Sen. Larry Craig, but here’s some good news: Americans like him more than Michael Vick, Britney Spears and O.J. Simpson. Whew!
SurveyUSA polled 1,200 adults nationwide and asked them how much respect they have for various politicians and celebrities. Craig just barely squeaked out a victory over Vick, Spears and Simpson, but lost to Howard Stern, Don Imus and Barry Bonds.
The poll also gauged Americans’ respect for the2008 presidential candidates and from first to last, here’s the order:

3. Barack Obama
4. John McCain
5. John Edwards
6. Fred Thompson
7. Mike Huckabee
8. Mitt Romney
9. Bill Richardson
10. Joe Biden
11. Ron Paul

14. Chris Dodd
15. Duncan Hunter
