FILE - This Feb. 12, 2012 file photo shows Adele performing during the 54th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. Adele has the year’s top-selling album on iTunes. Her “21,” which recently passed the 10 million mark in sales, topped the list even though it was first released at the top of 2011. It remained popular this year, particularly after she nabbed five Grammys in February. (AP Photo/Matt Sayles, file)

FILE - This Sept. 22 1970 file photo shows Mick Jagger, center, lead singer of The Rolling Stones pop music group, with a straw hat, as he and guitarist Mick Taylor and drummer Charlie Watts, right in bow tie, pose during a press conference at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, France . In 1972, The Rolling Stones controversially moved to the south of France to escape onerous British taxes. Though it caused a stink at the time, it spawned one of the group’s most seminal albums, “Exile on Main St.” The title is a reference to their tax-dodging. (AP Photo, Cardenas, File)

CORRECTS DATE Undated photo released by the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, London of Bryan Hymel in the title role of their production of the opera Robert Le Diable. Degas painted it. Chopin wrote variations on it. Balzac and Dumas mentioned it in their fiction. The Paris Opera performed it 100 times in just three years. For more than a half-century after its premiere in 1831, Giacomo Meyerbeer's “Robert le Diable” was everywhere. Then, as its composer's reputation plummeted, it all but disappeared. Now the Royal Opera has brought it back, for the first time in 120 years, in a new production by director Laurent Pelly that opened Dec. 6 and was seen at the third of six performance Wednesday, Dec.12, 2012. It's a commendable undertaking, especially at a time when many opera companies are opting for safe repertory choices. (AP Photo/Royal Opera House Bill Cooper)
