Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, is testifying before the Jan. 6 committee Thursday.
Thomas has been a prime target of the investigation into the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, with committee members stating they are largely focused on a series of emails she purportedly sent to electors about the 2020 presidential election.
The justice’s wife could be seen walking into her hearing but did not answer any questions related to her motive for attending the hearing or if she asked her husband to clear her name.

Her attorney, Mark Paoletta, previously wrote in a statement that Thomas is “eager to answer the Committee’s questions to clear up any misconceptions about her work relating to the 2020 election.”
“She looks forward to that opportunity,” Paoletta stated.
The committee was set to have its anticipated final hearing on Wednesday, but it was postponed due to the arrival of Hurricane Ian in Florida. The rescheduled date for the hearing has not been announced.
In light of Hurricane Ian bearing down on parts of Florida, we have decided to postpone tomorrow’s proceedings. We’re praying for the safety of all those in the storm’s path.
The Select Committee will soon announce a date for the postponed proceedings. https://t.co/DgNchy845D
