It’s been a big week in aerospace news with the nighttime return of four astronauts from a long endurance mission at the International Space Station and the longest flight yet of the Ingenuity helicopter on Mars.
Those achievements, and the death of Apollo 11 astronaut Mike Collins, remind us that present-day space exploration, as in the 1960s, can be a unifying endeavor amid turmoil and social unrest at home. Doug McKelway has more.
