The bad basketball karma continues in Washington, where the Mystics announced that all-star guard Alana Beard will miss the 2010 season following ankle arthorscopy and ankle tendon surgery that is set for next week.
Beard suffered the injury late in the regular season last year then aggravated it in the playoffs.
It has nothing to do with her writing a letter in support of Gilbert Arenas ahead of his sentencing last month. But the timing sure makes it feel like that’s what happened, eh?
