Police seek slaying suspect

Prince George’s County officers are looking for the man they suspect killed a 20-year-old Greenbelt woman Saturday night.

According to authorities, 20-year-old Cindy Sorto-Reyes, was found shot to death inside a Greenbelt residence.

As of Sunday afternoon, they were searching for, but had not yet apprehended, 49-year-old Armando Sanchez Sr., a D.C. resident who is believed to be driving a white 2001 Chevrolet work van with Maryland tags 95T395. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

High-speed Beltway chase

A robbery that started at an Anne Arundel County convenience store turned into a high-speed chase that ended in Prince George’s County near FedEx field in Landover Friday morning, Anne Arundel County police said. The suspect, whose name hasn’t been released, drove at speeds up to 90 mph along the Capital Beltway in a Dodge Durango.

Manslaughter suspect sought

Prince William County police are searching for a man responsible for an evening car crash in January that resulted in the death of a passenger.

Juan Angel Giron, 30, who was injured in the accident, is wanted on a charge of involuntary manslaughter for the wreck. Giron was driving a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am on Aden Road in Nokesville when he lost control and struck a tree, according to a police report. Jorge Luber Cruz Rodriguez, 31, of Culpeper died in the accident. Giron, who lived in Woodbridge, is 30, 5-foot-6, 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. – Dan Genz

Man flees Pr. George’s police

Prince George’s County police were led on a high speed chase through a swath of the District of Columbia before apprehending the fleeing suspect who had struck a police cruiser with his Mercury Grand Marquis around 11 p.m. on the 4900 block of Marlboro Pike, county police said.

The suspect, who was not named, is from the District. No one was injured and he stopped on the 3200 block of Curtis Avenue. – Freeman Klopott
