Rock legend Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin got into a spat on Twitter late Wednesday night.
“It’s official! Whatever anyone may have previously thought of Steve Mnuchin he’s officially an asshole,” Rose said just before 6:30 p.m on Wednesday.
Two hours later, Mnuchin responded: “What have you done for the country lately?”
Mnuchin’s initial tweet responding contained an emoji of the Liberian flag, which he deleted and replaced with the U.S. flag. Rose didn’t let it go unnoticed.
“My bad I didn’t get we’re hoping 2 emulate Liberia’s economic model,” Rose quipped.
What have you done for the country lately? ??

The exchange sparked thousands of reactions online.
It’s not only America. Axl Rose has also done more for Chinese democracy than Steve Mnuchin.

Yesterday, Donald Trump got punked by the Guns N’ Roses version of Live and Let Die.
Today, Steve Mnuchin punked himself by getting into a feud with Axl Rose.
Congrats to the Trump regime for having embarrassing incidents involving Guns N’ Roses two days in a row.

There is a 100% chance America would be better off with Axl Rose as Secretary of the Treasury, Slash as Secretary of State and Duff McKagan as Secretary of Commerce instead of Steve Mnuchin, Mike Pompeo and Wilbur Ross https://t.co/MLhYAkAEzx

Since the coronavirus pandemic began, Mnuchin has overseen the allocation of billions of dollars in economic relief payments to taxpayers and small businesses.
Guns N Roses hasn’t released a new album since 2008.
