Actor and comedian Alec Baldwin attacked supporters of President Trump in a series of tweets Monday, saying they are the ones responsible for what he called a “near moral collapse of this country.”
“Like fire, floods and earthquakes, it destroys, and only destroys, by its very nature. Without prejudice,” Baldwin tweeted. “It is Trump voters, particularly those who would re-elect him who bear the blame.”

Baldwin, who portrays Trump on Saturday Night Live, accused him of attempting to profit off the presidency and shamed Trump supporters.
“For the undeniable and colossal destruction of everything that matters to us as Americans that cannot be merely monetized,” he tweeted.
The comedian’s frequent criticism of Trump has drawn the ire of the president’s defenders in conservative media.
Fox News host Sean Hannity once criticized Baldwin’s public comments about former special counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, an effort that sought to benefit Trump.
Baldwin said it is people such as Hannity and other Trump supporters who are doing long-term damage to the country.
